AI-Powered Inventory Visibility
Problem
Loading docks and commercial shipping hubs operate under intense pressure to improve safety and efficiency - but many still rely on manual oversight and fragmented tools.
LuminX set out to address this with real-time computer vision and AI. I joined as the sole designer to help turn their concept into a usable product that could support pilots and open doors to enterprise partnerships.
Ideation
We began with wireframes to map out the core use cases: a live incident feed, a video review tool, and a dashboard for key safety and ops metrics.
I built various mockups to explore layout, information density, and alert hierarchy. A major challenge was helping users quickly assess and act on alerts without getting overwhelmed - we addressed this with visual prioritization, smart grouping, and a clean, focused UI.

Design
The final MVP included several key components:
- Live Incident Feed – A scrollable, filterable stream of events with video previews and clear severity labels.
- Video Review Tool – Users could scrub footage, view flagged timestamps, and mark events as resolved or false positives.
- Dashboard Overview – A top-level view with safety and efficiency metrics, designed to support both daily operations and executive reporting.

Results
The MVP played a critical role in LuminX’s early growth:
- Enabled successful pilot programs with major logistics companies
- Provided a polished, credible product for customer demos and sales conversations
- Helped the team identify new high-value features based on real-world usage
Even as an early-stage tool, the system was well received for its clarity, responsiveness, and usability. It laid the foundation for ongoing iterations as LuminX continues scaling in the industrial AI space.
